Another season of Milan Fashion Week, another slay. Andrea Pompilio has done it again for Onitsuka Tiger — devising wonders for the house in trompe l’oeil effects, plays on silhouettes and of course, the usual suspects of a yellow and black-grounded palette for Spring Summer 2025.
For the wandering youth, the pulsating energy of a metropolis acts as fuel for curiosity and endless exploration under the sun. Under Andrea Pompilo’s vision, Onitsuka Tiger celebrates its 75th Anniversary with a co-ed collection that radiates with optimism — like a ray of sunshine.
Predominantly known as a footwear label, what role does ready-to-wear play in communicating their universe? With elements of grunge and glamour that permeate the collection, Onitsuka Tiger seems to advocate for reasons to go outside. Beyond doom-scrolling on TikTok, why not touch some grass instead?
Rather than a gleaming wardrobe of new pieces that evokes a sense of store-bought personality, the 50-look collection conveys a sense of individuality — assimilated through a multitude of references and interests. Just as a young person would build an outfit by mixing thrift store finds with everyday staples, wide-legged cargo pants are featured alongside chunky knits, shawl-collared vests and shiny derbies. In a palette of sun-drenched yellows, blues and khakis, the designs comes across like mementoes from explorations that have been collected over time.
To chase one’s aspirations is to remain steady on their feet. Featuring penny loafers, derbies and sports sandals, the footwear from SS25 includes staples that could easily transition from day to night, from city to city. For any avid explorer, versatility is key in navigating one urban expedition after another. As long as the sun shines, today is another good day for exploration.

And witnessing all these creations live were the slew of VVIPs who took to the Japanese label’s front rows; because one should know by now that the Japanese fashion label never plays when it comes to the staging of its shows.
And so in terms of star power, the house did it big once again. Invitees included the esteemed likes of Momo of Twice, actors Woo Dohwan and Baifern Pimchanok, fashion personalities like Heart Evangelista, and more. All of whom took to the grand stage in Milan, clad in the label’s finest threads from the new season.
