Saint Laurent FW24: The metamorphosis of classical tailoring

Saint Laurent FW24: The metamorphosis of classical tailoring

Suits are to menswear what air is to life. As one of the core functions of the dress category, the suit has been revisited, referenced, and revolutionised by designers time and again, with each creative attempting to imbue a new meaning into their iterations of new formalities. But for creative director Anthony Vaccarello, Saint Laurent’s suits are a medium for reverence. In a cut-and-dry homage to founder Yves Saint Laurent, Saint Laurent Fall/ Winter ’24 expands on classical tailoring in the most meta sense — all while morphing into modern, contemporary realisations of precise proportions that can withstand the test of time.
