Chanel celebrated the grand opening of its first flagship store in Seoul recently with a celebrity-filled soiree.
Dreamed up by Peter Marino, the newly opened Seoul’s first Chanel flagship store is the 10th Chanel store in Korea – and also the most swanky one to date. Located in the luxury neighbourhood, Cheongdam-dong, the shopping destination spans across over 1,800 square-metre and boasts seven floors.
The first three houses the ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes and fragrances, as well as watches and high jewellery. The fourth is where the private reception rooms are whereas the two upper and patio are used for hosting special events and exhibitions.
During the opening, Chanel also launched the much-anticipated Chanel-Pharrell capsule collection. Skillfully blending Pharrell’s street-style swag and Chanel’s brand DNA, the range includes T-shirts, robes, costume jewellery, belts, bucket hats, hip packs, loafers and glasses in bold shades.
The momentous occasion was attended by the House’s ambassadors namely Pharrell Williams, Park Soo Joo, Jennie Kim, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook and Irene Kim, alongside other mega stars like Park Seo-joon, Bobby, Zion T and Jay Park. Pharrell and Jennie delivered their breathtaking performances, as well as DJs Soo Joo, Anna and Plastic Kid.
The Chanel-Pharrell capsule collection is now available at selected Chanel stores worldwide.
