Seven is the magic number for Dior Homme and its new sneaker collection.
And that’s the exact number of styles that artistic director Kris Van Assche has introduced in the brand’s Spring 2017 collection.
In low- or mid-top, slip-on or lace-up designs, each is meant to evoke a different “facet of the Dior Homme universe” – there’s black-and- white elegance, glam glitter finishing, and edgy flocked velvet staining.

That’s not all. A Spazzolato mirrored leather number features an airbrushed gradient that changes from silver to bright blue to black, while a black low-cut design is covered with cracked white paint.
Another two styles take on Dior Homme’s iconic Prince of Wales check, with embossed grey leather covered with splotches of white or coloured paint.
Van Assche says, “I always like to blur the lines and create contrasts: the idea here was to play with a classic shape and radical techniques.”
