Since the relaunch of Mastermind Japan in 2017, its founder Masaaki Homma has been staying active in the fashion world with collaborations. And it seems like Homma is not slowing down anytime soon. Recently, his label works with Timberland for Timberland x Mastermind Autumn/Winter 2019.
Combining the invaluable assets of the two brands – the marriage of Mastermind’s dark energy and Timberland’s signature design, the result is a collection of six items including the Field Boot, Weatherbreaker waterproof jacket, Sherpa fleece jacket, sweater, casual pants and a graphic tee.
A pair of head-turning shoes is every street lover’s dream and Timberland definitely knows the way to their heart. The classic Field Boot is given a new look: it comes with a dark brown and jet black leather upper enhanced with the TimberDry waterproof membrane. To make the design complete, the seal of Mastermind Japan – the iconic skull and crossbones logo – are seen stamping over the upper of the Field boot.
The rare Weatherbreaker jacket and waterproof pants that long stored in Timberland’s archive also get revived along with the collaboration. Boosted with Dryvent waterproof technology, the Weatherbreaker look in black and white is decorated with a reflective logo and metallic details. On the other hand, the reputable duo retain the design code of the Sherpa fleece jacket, hoodie and sweatpants and upgrade the functionality instead. The items are also granted with embroidered Mastermind Japan branding as well as reflective detailing.
The Timberland x Mastermind Japan collection will be exclusively available at Isetan The Japan Store, Kuala Lumpur on the 9th November 2019. Make sure you grab it fast as all the items come in extremely limited quantity.
