The Master Collection has been the go-to-category for traditional Longines watches that are classic but do not cross into the realm of the Heritage Collection – and the latest addition is this discreet line-up of moonphase pieces. A representation of technical excellence and classic elegance in watchmaking, it symbolises the underlining Longines values that have played a significant role of which the brand’s reputation is built upon.
Equipped with a new self-winding movement – the L899 calibre – developed exclusively for the brand, the polished and refined yet subdued aesthetic of the watches is accentuated by a moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock circled by an Arabic numeral date ring on which a hand points to the current day. In Longines’ perpetual pursuit of elegance, the ultra-sleek dial goes hand in hand with the timeless design, thus fashioning a harmonious balance.
The new Longines Master Collection watches come in two different case sizes – 40 and 42mm – with a range of different dials. Have a penchant for simple watches? Then the model with a silvered barleycorn dial with painted Arabic numerals is for you. But if bling is your thing, you might like the one with a sunray blue dial with diamond markers. They are outfitted with an embossed black, brown or blue leather strap, or a stainless steel bracelet with triple safety folding clasp and push-piece opening mechanism.
The elements come together to create these watches that tick all the right boxes and appeal not just novice but also hardcore watch enthusiasts.
