Ahead of BAPE’s opening at Suria KLCC, Coach collaborates with the Japanese revered streetwear brand for a contemporary collection.
An interesting blend of the DNA of both brands, the timeless craftsmanship from the American leather house is perfectly tempered with the inspiring creativity of the Japanese streetwear trailblazer, giving birth to a collection that showcases the uniqueness of their roots – New York City and Tokyo.
Coach’s signature pattern plays host to BAPE’s Ape Head logo and gets adorned in camouflage, khaki and rainbow jacquard, making an eye-catching decoration for a slew of items including a down puffer jacket in leather, BAPESTA sneakers and backpacks in Coach’s Academy silhouette. Elevating its exclusivity, T-shirts designed in unique colourways inspired by respective regions will be available in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Paris and London.
To make the collaboration more meaningful, the duo taps New York-based photographer Quil Lemons to capture model and songwriter Kōki in the Ebisu district of Shibuya, Tokyo and actor and musician Quincy Brown in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The collection will be available exclusively at Coach Pavilion Elite on February 22 at 9am.
