Swiss watch brand Rado has once again added an award-winning creation to its achievement record.
Known for its innovation in design, Rado outdid 59 competing countries and won the 2018 Red Dot Award in product design category with its Rado True Phospho, a co-creation of Rado and Swiss design studio Big-Game.
On the victory, Rado CEO Matthias Berschan says, “As a brand dedicated to design, we are delighted to have been able to collaborate with Big-Game and to have won the 2018 Red Dot Award for the True Phospho. Design is in our DNA and we are absolutely committed to providing the very highest level of design we can for Rado customers.”
This striking piece has won hearts of judges with its one-of-a-kind design and innovative crafting material. Crafted in high-tech ceramic, which was Rado’s signature material, this monotone timepiece, reflecting the theme of lightness and minimalism, is enclosed in 40mm matt black ceramic case with a matching bracelet.
The colour of the watch might not catch your eye at first sight, but it will knock you out with its modern take on skeleton watches. Shedding light on its interior build, the perforated black brass dial allows its Swiss made automatic movement below to shine through. The indexes, hour and minute hands, as well as second hand, are illuminated by Super-LumiNova.
This limited edition Rado True Phospho is only available for 1,000 pieces at selected Rado boutiques and retailers worldwide.
