Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has just welcomed a new member to its family: the Range Rover Velar, which is available in two variants – Velar and Velar R-Dynamic.
The Range Rover Velar is a brand new SUV that defines a true luxury car – one that is sophisticated visually and boosts high performance. Together with its iconic Range Rover floating roof, the Velar also features continuous waistline and unique front bumper designs that express simplicity.
The design of the luxury vehicle is accentuated with exceptional details including an integrated deployable flush door handles; Ernest copper details; ultra-slim LED head and tail lamps; and also matching 20-inch 7-spoke wheels (21-inch 10-spoke wheels for Velar R-Dynamic model).
The avant-garde Range Rover boasts an 8-speed automatic transmission and is powered by lightweight aluminium 4-cylinder and powerful V6 Ingenium petrol P250 engine. It produces 248hp at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 365Nm at 1,200rpm. As for the speed, it can reach 100kph in 6.7 seconds and it can go up to 217kph.
Along with its amazing design and high performing machinery, the interior is also packed with all the technologies that a tech-savvy driver wants in an automobile.
The vehicle consisting of traffic sign recognition will read the signs on the road and warns you on the interactive driver display and the Touch Pro Duo – HD touchscreens with satellite navigation – will guide you on the right path while being able to answer calls simultaneously as you drive. All these are made possible with the InControl infotainment system.
The Range Rover Velar is also bedecked with lavish interior design, featuring a choice of leather-wrapped cabin, decorated with Cut Diamond patterned Windsor leather, or textile cabin, crafted by leading textile manufacturer Kvadrat.
It also comes with an additional activity key, which resembles the look of a wristband, designed to facilitate sports enthusiasts and be used as a secondary car key.
Last but not least, just like any other Range Rover models, it has the capabilities to confront challenging terrains, be it wading through deep water or towing heavy objects with ease.
