Celebrated as the number one eyewear brand in Japan, 999.9 (read as Four Nines), is back again with a new excitement for its loyal patrons – the 999.9 Eyewear Museum.
This week on Level 3 of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, 999.9 will be hosting an exclusive 999.9 Eyewear Museum to showcase its latest 2018 eyewear collection and also exhibit a one-of-a-kind 999.9 luxury eyewear masterpiece (worth RM38,888).
Ahead of the 999.9 Eyewear Museumpop-up space, let’s take a look at the latest eyewear by 999.9 that are our favourite and will definitely excite your senses!
S-125T series
In its 2018 collections, one of the stand-outs is the S-125T series, which features metal-based classic browline eyeglasses. A seemingly minimal and classic design, the S-125T series stays true to the DNA of 999.9 of form and function.
Featuring the signature double front structure and gyaku-R hinge, this new design (available in 3 models) highlights an exquisitely thin frame that will wrap your face without any obstructions.
NP-600 series
For the dandy contemporary men, the NP-600 series is one to look out for, which is a new take on the classic NP-60 series from the late 2000s. The NP series (derived from “Neo Plastic”) focuses on one of 999.9’s signature styles, which makes precise adjustment possible to plastic frames.
That means even the more rigid plastic frames can now be fitted perfectly to your face shape unlike the usual plastic eyewear in the market. And on top of that, the NP-600’s bold and striking silhouette makes it an ideal companion for the men in suits.
S-180T series
If the current runway shows are any indication, the current trending look is that vintage nostalgia and 999.9 has you all sorted with the S-180T series – a series of metal glasses that adopts cable wire temple.
Bringing the idea of “geek chic” mix “vintage floral” to mind, the cable wired frames are made for maximum comfort and, of course, timeless style. Pair it up with oversized silk shirts and straight-legged trousers, and you’re good to go!
