Diving into retro style, Gucci releases Spring/Summer 2020 eyewear campaign featuring Kai in a nostalgic record store.
Resurrecting the spirit of American ’80s teen movies, the record and VHS rental store, the campaign is a flash of vintage. Backdropped by a colourful neon-lit interior, the campaign is captured at Amoeba Music Hollywood store in Los Angeles to showcase the spirit of individuality. Tapping brand ambassadors Kai and Ni Ni as well as models Delphi McNicol, Azu Nwogu and Jana Jonckheere, the flamboyance styling of the protagonists makes a counterpoint to the vibrancy of the pop-culture graphics.
Through the lens of Harmony Korine, Kai looks dandy in Gucci ensembles and a slew of eyewear such as squared shaped sunglasses with grey lenses, black acetate rims and end tips; aviator-shaped sunglasses with green lenses, havana acetate rims and ivory acetate end tips; and gold-tone metal optical frame with a green and bordeaux House Web stripe acetate front rim.
