Known for its crossed stripe tiger marking and spirit of uniting youths through the power of sports, Onitsuka Tiger continues to keep that spirit alive by employing its symbol on a slew of new kicks that showcases both style and innovation.
Spearheading the new releases this October is P-Trainer model. Treated with sports car-like lustre, the P-Trainer features monochromatic hues in holographic effect, allowing peacoat, spice curry and pink glo to shine on the chunky lace-up shoe. Ensuring better cushioning and resilience, the new pair is enhanced with Flytefoam Propel midsole and Ortholite inner sole.
Sharing the spotlight is the P-Trainer Knit. The simple yet sleek sneaker is designed in low top with an upper that fits perfectly like a sock. Done in monochromes, the pair is decorated with an embroidered Onitsuka Tiger in black or white, giving the minimalism a light contrast. Boasting similar technologies, the new model is available in black, white and smog green.
While the new styles are definitely worth checking out, existing model Big Logo Trainer gets a major boost and is better than ever. Returned as part of its Autumn/Winter 2020 collection, oversized Onitsuka Tiger stripe cuddles the laterals of the chunky sneaker, putting a stamp on a pair of otherwise ordinary footwear. The Big Logo Trainer 2.0 comes with three colourways: white-black, black-white and white-tuna blue. The Big Logo Trainer 2.0 MT, on the other hand, boasts aquarium-white, birch-classic red and black-white.
Icons like Delegation 64, Nippon 60 and Mexico 66 also make a comeback in modern interpretation. The Delegation 64 retains original details like arch-shaped sole, the heel flap and unique heel reinforcement shape while adorning with UI line and Tokyo Onitsuka tongue label. Nippon 60 is upgraded with a combination of red and white leather and a circle of Japanese flag meanwhile “B line” from 1970 Onitsuka apparel collection is used for the Mexico 66 SD PF for the first time.
Available at Onitsuka Tiger Suria KLCC, Sunway Pyramid, Mid Valley Megamall and Southkey Mid Valley.
