Alessandro Michele is no stranger to the fashion world with his norm-defying approach to the design rules. Subverting the industry’s established practice of seasonality, the Gucci Epilogue collection, the final act of its “trilogy of love”, is what the creative director deemed “an overture” that ushers in a new chapter of fashion tale in his unconventional vernacular. Once considered the unsung heroes, the design team has stood the centre stage at Palazzo Sacchetti to model the 70s-inspired bright coloured pieces bearing the signatures of Ken Scott’s oversized botanical prints and rainbow stripes, as well as Disney x Gucci accessories.
