If you’ve been searching for timepieces suitable for both indoors and outdoors, you’re looking at them.
Rado
One of the things we have had to accept about modern watches is that they no longer just tell time. The first brand to popularise ceramic as a watch case material, Rado is one example. Combining high-tech ceramic, stainless steel and sapphire crystal, this 42mm Captain Cook with glossy green dial and bezel is a prepossessing style statement designed for urban gadabouts. Equipped with the high quality, Swiss made C07 automatic movement, the watch is reliable with up to 80 hours of power reserve. The Easy Clip System enables change of three-link stainless steel bracelet to a rice grain bracelet, a leather or a NATO textile without having to use any.
Casio
How about a watch with interchangeable bands and bezels? The latest model of 5600 series G-Shock DWE-5600CC comes with three types of replaceable bands and two bezels so to put versatility at the forefront. Not unlike the previous models, the band is shaped to reduce shock to the case if the watch falls, while incorporating a newly-developed slide lever for ease of detachment. Additionally, the watch is fitted with the Carbon Core Guard structure with a carbon fibre- reinforced case for shock resistance.
Mido
A nod to the nautical world, Mido Ocean Star Chronograph is a well-built sports watch driven by the Calibre 60 with a power reserve of up to 60 hours, coupled with high-tech ceramic on the bezel. That being said, the watch exudes arresting aesthetics in every last detail. Dressed elegantly in black, the indexes and diamond- cut hands are accented by yellow Super- LumiNova and iconic orange touches, while the sweep-seconds hand catches the eye with its orange varnished tip as it glides across the dial. With an anti-reflective treatment on both sides, the sapphire crystal presents a perfectly clear view of this effective dial and its strong contrasts.
Bell & Ross
Featuring a circular instrument- inspired dial design within a square case shape, the Bell & Ross BR 03 is an instantaneously recognisable watch. In 2013, the BR 03 Golden Heritage was launched and watch enthusiasts were delighted to see how well the innate military charm teamed up with the streamlined look and feel. Today, the updated model offers a modern-day take with sunray dial in a mysterious black colour. Keeping the best of what made the Golden Heritage the ideal combination of past and present, the lines remain clean and minimal while the golden appliqué numerals and indexes bestow on it a grandiose touch.
Citizen
And finally, the hypnotic Citizen CB0219-50L which takes its cue from the vastness of the galaxy. Expressed in shades of blue with glittering stars, the Calibre H145 movement is capable of receiving time signals from multiple radio transmitters in Japan, China, Europe, and North America to automatically adjust to the correct local time and date. Moreover, the eco-drive light- powered movement means that the watch will never need a battery change. There’s definitely no question that this is a special watch that expresses infinite possibility.
