The BMW 430i Coupé M Sport is equally remarkable in performance as it is in distinctiveness. A homage to its icons like BMW 303 and 328, the signature kidney grille makes a return with refreshed face. First introduced in 1933, it has since undergone multiple reimaginations and the latest one is a blown-up version that is nothing less than a standout.
Extending down almost to the lower edge of the front apron, the kidney grilles feature an immaculate mesh design decorated with nuggets in matte aluminium, framed in high-glass chrome. Making the centrepiece is the iconic BMW emblem while the BMW Laserlights with High-beam Assistant, 19” M light alloy wheels in Double-spoke style 797 M Bicolour with mixed tyres and run-flat tyres, and high-glass chrome exhaust tailpipes bring out its sporty character. The latest version gets an upgrade in build and is now more solid with an increase in length by 130mm, width by 27mm, height by 6mm and wheelbase by 41mm.
No sporty car will make the cut without a vigorous heart. Powered by the BMW TwinTurbo 4-cylinder petrol engine, combining a twin-scroll turbocharger with Valvetronic, Double VANOS and High-Precision Injection, the vehicle revs up from 0 to 100km/h in 5.8 seconds and able to pull off a maximum output of 258hp and 400 Nm of torque. Transmitting the power is the upgraded 8-speed Steptronic Sport Transmission with improved efficiency resulting in a fuel consumption of 6.6ℓ per 100 km of travel, and CO2 emissions of 151g per kilometre of travel.
Inside, the seating is bedecked in Leather Vernasca while the interior upholstery in Anthracite and Aluminium Tetragon giving it the much-needed contrast. Passengers will be treated to a celebrity entrance with welcome light carpet and ambient light with 11 predefined lighting designs. Floor mats are crafted in velour and automatic air conditioning comes with 3-zone control. With the 4 series, the instrument panel is loaded with a slew of functional wizardry like 12.3” instrument display, 10.25” touch sensitive display, Harmon Kardon Surround Sound System and wireless charging.
Putting your safety at the forefront, the coupé is equipped with plenty of useful safety features that make every journey fuss-free whether you are rushing to office or hitting the roads for a fun weekend trip. It includes Speed Limit Assist, Cross-traffic Warning, Rear Collision Prevention, Approach Control Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Change Warning.
