Shot by acclaimed British photographer David Sims in London, the Vivienne Westwood x Burberry campaign features Vivienne Westwood herself and her partner Andreas Kronthaler along with a cast of stellar individuals.
The collaborative campaign sees a diverse casting, including models like Kate Moss, Andy Bradin and Claudia Lavender; mavericks like Sistren, Ladyfag and Josh Quinton; Leonard Emmanuel, DelaRosa, Marco Motta, Sashadavai and Jacob Shifrin; as well as the design duo.
From classic double-breasted jackets to a hugger jacket and a mini kilt to lace-up platforms and a beret, they are donned in revamped Vivienne Westwood’s iconic designs, all decorated in Burberry’s nova check.
The collection also includes a unique piece, an oversized T-shirt with a handwritten message from Westwood herself to create awareness about Cool Earth (a UK based non-profit organisation) and its effort to cease deforestation and climate change; and four exclusive items from the collection to be auctioned to raise money for the green organisation.
To celebrate the arrival of the range, Riccardo Tisci, Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler hosted a launch party at Chelsea Sorting Office recently. The event was attended by a plethora of luminaries namely Matt Smith, Blondey McCoy, Ghali, Mariacarla Boscono, Miley Cyrus, Lily Collins, Mia Goth, Winnie Harlow, Jess Glynne, Lea T, Dolores De la Rosa, Skin, Claudia Lavender, Ladyfag, Octavian, Jazzelle, Dynamo, Josh Quinton, Ezra Miller and Halsey. Guests were entertained with performance by MIA as well as tracks by Disco Smack, Peggy Gou and Honey Dijon.
The collection starts from £55 and is available at Burberry’s online store and in select Burberry stores worldwide.
