Loewe has recently launched Loewe Open Archives, a special platform which showcases exotic designs from the Maison’s archives.
Loewe Open Archives takes place at its first boutique, Gran Via store (Madrid, Spain) inside the landmark building by Francisco Ferrer Bartolomé. Open to the public, Loewe explores every visitor to its milestones of bag designs in the boutique inaugurated in 1939.
This first archive exhibition by the Spanish luxury label will run through 20 January 2019.
Many pieces from the showcase were previously owned by Loewe’s clients, which have been passed down from generation to generation. Now, the precious pieces gifted to Loewe to be shared to the public.
From geometric lines of Art Deco, rigid edges of ’40s influence and explosion of colours from the ’60s to today’s pure unstructured shapes, the displayed items offer a glimpse of Loewe’s vision through its ever-changing aesthetic preferences, refined craftsmanship and increasingly liberated social values.
Exhibitions at Museo LOEWE will change periodically and the opening show runs through 20 January 2019.
