ZEGNA FW24 is committed to the simple

There isn’t a more apt time to discuss the importance of longevity in fashion than now, and ZEGNA has just made it abundantly clear with its FW24 collection that it has been and will continue to be the one steering this conversation into the future.

Since Alessandro Sartori took over the reins at the craftsmanship-focused house and outlined its story with its now signature shade of brilliant vicuna, ZEGNA’s seasonal dispatches have only served to reinforce its approach to fashion as a means and an end to transformation with just fabrics, colours and silhouettes. As singular and breathtaking as the mountain of cashmere shavings stood in the centre of the show space, the looks echoed the timelessness of academic theory, each look a studied vessel for individuality and interpretation.

The open system in newfound wardrobe classics presented a multitude of intelligent layering ideas in a nature-derived palette of monochrome. This would have left almost no outfit combination to imagination if not for the stellar casting; after all, the appeal of timeless, modular dressing is strongest when you show the actual diversity of life wearing it.

What good is a responsibly made coat, knit sweater or jacket anyway if they can’t weather through the many winters you will encounter? Whether it’s 2004, 2024 or 2044, we’re convinced that ZEGNA’s practice in simplicity will always prevail.
