East-West bags make a comeback

East-West bags make a comeback

Diving deeper into the slippages and discrepancies towards conventional style, the youth have found yet another under-corner of 2000s fashion to fixate on — East-West bags. While it has returned to the womenswear runways for several seasons now, it has transitioned from a rare runway occurrence to a new standard for men this year. Loose T-shirts, baggy jeans, and an elongated It bag — whether new or vintage — are now the de facto uniform for those not old enough to turn up to a club. However, to truly participate, one will need to acquire a bag with a feminine shape, and bonus points will be given to shoulder bags. If there is anything to learn from this trend, it is that if one is truly confident about their style, a “girly” bag would hardly bother them.
