Tactility is such an important part of luxury for me, and the sensorial experience of carrying a suede bag feels almost intimate. Apres Ski season is upon us, which also means it is shearling season. While I have never gone skiing, my obsession with the plushness of shearling and a good accessory made me put this on my holiday wish list this year. These earmuffs from Chanel’s COCO Neige 2024 collection not only remind me of a freshly groomed Pomeranian, they also make for a great travel companion this holiday season. Whether you use them as the pièce de résistance of your otherwise simple look or go full-on maximalist and have them as an accessory on your neck (or your bag), you cannot deny the charm of these warm and furry earmuffs.

Bvlgari Tadao Ando Serpenti watch & Bvlgari Bvlgari watch

I have always been fascinated with the house of Bvlgari, and my earliest memories of the brand are of my mother introducing me to their iconic Tubogas creations. This year, I had the pleasure of attending a preview showcasing Bvlagri’s latest timepieces. Though I was previously more partial to jewellery, this year was all about learning more about timepieces and figuring out which ones I should collect.

Inspired by the four seasons, Bvlgari’s collaboration with Tadao Ando explores their mythical Serpenti watch reimagined in materials that evoke the emotions of each season. While fall may be my favourite season, the design for the winter version in this collection is an absolute stunner. Featuring a mosaic mother-of-pearl dial unique to each piece, this stainless feel watch combines the heritage of their Tubogas know-how with 38 diamonds to create a serpentine creation that contrasts beautifully against my tanned complexion.

On the topic of heritage, after the debut of the Bvlgari Bvlgari watch in 1977, the watch has been reimagined and reinterpreted in different materials and sizes. Though many may opt for the fancier watches, the appeal of the Bvlgari Bvlgari watch is its timeless elegance. The latest Bvlgari Bvlgari offering features an 18k yellow gold dial paired with a black alligator strap and, in my opinion, is gender neutral. The reflection of the twin logos adds a touch of glamour, and although the 38mm size makes a statement, the 26mm version gives off a quieter and more vintage look on the wrist.

Balenciaga Bel Air medium leather handbag

Big bags are back for men who want to be prepared for just about anything. While small and mini bags were fun and lightweight, a part of me is glad we have cycled back to the practicality of capacious bags. The Balenciaga Bel Air comes in several sizes and while the largest may be too big for me, the small and the medium make for perfect daily companions. I am all for versatile bags that can be reconfigured into different shapes, and the Bel Air can be expanded even further by popping the sides open. For the Boy Scouts and the over-packers like me, long may big bags reign.

Maison Crivelli Oud Maracujá perfume

Saffron has been the ‘it’ note when it comes to niche fragrances, and it comes as no surprise because of its unique olfactory properties. I have been on the hunt for the best saffron scent, and when I chanced upon the delicious fumes of Maison Crivelli’s Oud Maracujá, I knew I had discovered something special. More often than not, rosy scents tend to smell feminine and powdery. Oud Maracujá mixes Turkish rose with the fruity notes of passionfruit to create one of the manliest rose scents I have tried to date, and the longevity makes it one of the scents I reach for the most. Super flattering for day and night use, the subtle sweetness blends deliciously with the oud, bringing you on a journey through an oud forest filled with tropical and floral scents. Out of all the niche perfumes I have personally collected and tried this year, Oud Maracuja ranks at the top.

I am a firm believer that the right pair of shoes brings you to the right place, and you can never tell where a pair will take you. Emblazoned with the fabled Scritto print purchased by Olga Berluti in the 18th century, the Andy Démesure Scritto Leather Loafer combines French craftsmanship with Berluti’s heritage for a design that transcends generations.
