Bell & Ross unveils their R.S.19 collection which was debuted earlier this year at Baselworld.
The Bell & Ross R.S.19 collection is born from the partnership between the French watchmaker and Renault F1 Team. The collaboration was started back in 2016 and saw Bell & Ross ventured into new territory: racing. This year will be their fourth year of partnership and comes with it four chronograph watches including BR V3-94 R.S.19, BR 03-94 R.S.19, BR-X1 R.S.19 and BR-X1 Tourbillon R.S.19.
Taking cue from Renault F1 race car particularly its colours, the BR V3-94 R.S.19 and BR 03-94 R.S.19 share the same aesthetics but different chassis. While its bezels are being bedecked in yellow and black hues of Renault F1 car, the BR V3-94 sports Bell & Ross’ classic round case in an updated size of 43mm, and meanwhile, the BR 03-94 R.S.19 is given the French label iconic square case in 42mm. Created primarily to be used for F1 racing, the bezel is made bi-directional for ‘on-the-fly’ timing and is enhanced with knurls for extra grip. A true chronograph watch is defined by its high-performing stopwatch mechanism; the BR V3-94 R.S.19 and BR 03-94 R.S.19 can record events to an accuracy of an eighth of a second for 30 minutes. Both variants will be available in 999 pieces each.
Designed to deliver exceptional performance just like the Renault race car, the BR-X1 R.S.19 that is endowed with plenty of functions, on the other hand, acts as a right hand to Renault F1 team representatives, Nico Hülkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo. This is evident in the creations of ‘rocker’ push-buttons which facilitates the pushing of button when wearing gloves, highly legible, coloured dial while being ultra-lightweight so to avoid unnecessary burden. Further elevating its capability is the newly added ‘time maker’ to measure time spent in hot laps. The BR-X1 R.S.19 is available in 250 pieces.
The top-of-the-line piece in the collection has got to be the BR-X1 Tourbillon R.S.19. Claimed by the French watchmaker as the miniature F1 engine for the wrist, the BR-X1 Tourbillon possesses the same characteristics of other variants in the line and is perfected with a powerful tourbillon at 6 o’clock and Calibre BR-CAL.283. To make it a real exclusive creation, the 45mm BR-X1 Tourbillon R.S.19, with satin-polished titanium and matte ceramic with rubber inserts, is available in 20 pieces only.
