The all-new BMW X3 – the latest addition to BMW Group Malaysia’s already impressive portfolio – was recently launched at Menara Ken TTDI. Here are the top five things you need to know about the car:
1) Independent, radical configurations
Fun fact: the all-new BMW X3 is known as “The Independent” in the BMW X Family, shares Harald Hoelzl (Managing Director and CEO of BMW Group Malaysia). The latest BMW X release also boasts of a few firsts, including a “three-dimensional” kidney grille treatment and foglamps in a hexagonal design. The BMW X3 has a balanced 50:50 weight distribution between the front and rear axle, and weighs 55 kg less than its predecessor, offering you superb performance and efficient handling.
2) Absolute power for driving pleasure
The brand new BMW X3 is powered by the BMW TwinPower Turbo 2.0 in-line four-cylinder petrol engine, and is complemented by TwinScroll turbocharging, High Precision Injection, Double-VANOS variable camshaft control as well as Velvetronic fully variable valve timing. Furthermore, the car develops torque between 1,450 rpm to 4,800 rpm, and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds (it’s got a top speed of 240km/h). Thanks to the Driving Experience Control switch, drivers can alternate between different modes like Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport and Sport+, ensuring that you experience a perfect drive each time.
3) Decadent spaces within
Hop into the BMW X3 to check out the sleek interiors; the leather vernasca seats offer a sense of luxury, and the BMW X embossing on the B-pillar, enter console and rear door trim are hard to miss. You can rely on the BMW ConnectedDrive services (which includes services like Intelligent Emergency Call and Concierge Services) for added security and comfort while on the move too.
4) Storage real estate on wheels
Storage space is definitely not an issue for BMW’s latest sports activity vehicle (SAV). The BMW X3’s original cargo space of 550 litres can be almost tripled to 1,600 litres by retracting the seats, offering ample room for luggage and sporting equipment. In need of more space?
