On the balmy Friday evening on 29th June, a large crowd started wandering into Andaz Singapore, some loitered at the lobby of the 25th floor while others headed to a secret location located round the corner. Upon arrival at the front desk of Smoke & Pepper, everyone broke into smiles and excited chatter as greetings of hugs and air-kisses were exchanged. The Men’s Folio Summer Party has begun.
Everyone dropped their cards into a bowl at the reception’s desk, excited for the lucky draw that would happen later that night. As the crowd moved into the room, we could see most of them heading straight for the wine tasting booth hosted by Euphoria Wine Club.
Even if one was not a wine person, there was also a bartender from Pernod Ricard at ready to prepare “Monkey Sloe & Soda” and “Canchanchara”, cocktails specially concocted from Monkey 47 gin and Havana Club rum for the party. Talk about TGIF, we also had a roving saxophonist serenading the crowd with soothing jazz to ease everyone into a relaxed mood.
Both Heart Media CEO & Publisher, Olivier Burlot and Men’s Folio Editor, Wilson Lim, gave a rousing speech to welcome as well as to thank everyone for the support thus far. Cheers and champagne glasses clinked away with everyone in high spirits.
The night concluded with a lucky draw, where lucky winners walked away with vacation stays and fashion accessories. All the love and support shown to us were deeply felt by the Men’s Folio team.
