Those who know Le Labo – New York-based luxury artisanal perfume brand – would have already known that its City Exclusives are usually only available in the city they belong to and nowhere else. This means no online or phone orders; no exceptions. But once a year, and once a year only, the entire City Exclusives leave their hometowns to visit other Le Labo boutiques for what is called the City Exclusive Event.
This year, there are 14 City Exclusives, comprising the brand spanking new Citron 28. Capturing the modern vibe that of Seoul, the fragrance is structured with lemon, ginger and jasmine. The scent is rounded up with intoxicating woody notes of cedar and musk, rooting originality and conservatism in equal part. Other cities spotlighted include Dallas, Chicago, Moscow, Hong Kong, Dubai, Tokyo, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, London, Miami, New York and Paris.
