From radar and Head Up Display, Bell & Ross’ rage for aeronautics has become an unmistakable hallmark that sets it apart from other watchmakers. In 2010, the French watchmaker released BR 01-92 Radar, a black watch that features the radar — and it marks the birth of its Flight Instruments family.

This year, the Parisian watch brand introduces the BR 03-92 Radiocompass. It pays homage to air radio navigation instruments, advanced tools that use radio waves to guide pilots through their journeys, especially during challenging times like night time or rainy days, via beacons on the ground. Endowed with a matt black dial, the 42mm matt black ceramic case offers glimpse into the dial decorated with three circles of white graduations indicating the hour, minute and second as well as a white triangle at 12 o’clock in Super-Luminova, enabling the wearers to get their bearings at night. Giving it a juxtaposition is the peppy hands, where the rocket-like hour hand in neon orange, the minute hand in acid yellow and second hand in neon green bring a sense of excitement to the austere dial, with numerals in isonorm typography that enhance both attractiveness and legibility.

Making it an exclusive creation, the BR 03-92 Radiocompass powered by BR-CAL.302 comes in only 999 pieces. Made to be used for swimming and snorkeling, the watch with 100-metre water resistance is available with the options of black rubber and ultra-resilient black synthetic fabric.
