Matthieu Blazy turns fragrance is where luxury, art, and scent intertwine in Bottega Veneta’s global olfactory rebirth.

In Matthieu Blazy’s tenure at Bottega Veneta, he has injected the brand with an inventive energy that has captivated the fashion world, enamoured with his play on material, illusion, and craftsmanship. It was probably only a matter of time before his considered vision extended beyond fashion, launching Bottega Veneta back into the olfactory world with not one, not two, but five unisex fragrances. Inspired by the Italian house’s origin city of Venice, as well as the house’s signature leather weave, the Intrecciato, Blazy’s approach to scent encapsulates the artisanal precision that has defined his take on fashion.

Blending ingredients from around the globe with Venetian craftsmanship, the varied olfactory experiences engage the senses to make the intangible, tangible — where memories are tied to one of our most primal senses, and where a smell can transport one back to someone, a time, or a place.

Feeling sexy to someone? Reach for Colpo di Sole or Acqua Sale. A sultry fusion of French Angelica oil and Moroccan orange blossom, this scent invokes the Mediterranean warmth that lingers on the skin. Another offering that works up a different charm is the Acqua Sale, which merges Spanish labdanum and Macedonian juniper oil to bring forth the salty allure of ocean air on a balmy, late-summer night.

For those who prefer subtle elegance, Come with Me offers a soft yet sophisticated mix of Italian bergamot and French orris butter — perfect for subtle seduction. The spice-laden Déjà Minuit, with its Guatemalan cardamom and Madagascan geranium, creates a heady, seductive evening scent, while Alchemie‘s fusion of Brazilian pink pepper and Somali myrrh pays tribute to opulent craftsmanship.

Crafted without synthetic ingredients, these high-end fragrances are as complex and layered as narratives that unfold on the skin. However, these memories do not end when the perfume runs out. Designed as a sustainable and enduring object, the refillable bottle is meant to last. Resting on a base of green Verde Saint Denis marble, the same marble used in Blazy’s store designs, the glass-blown bottle celebrates the artistry of Venetian craftsmanship. Its organic form, complete with distinct air bubbles, pays homage to traditional mouth-blown glass, elevating each bottle into a unique piece of art in itself.
