What do Royal Salute and Harris Reed have in common? Besides the obvious fact that both are associated with the United Kingdom, it’s their dedication to impeccable craft and fervent imagination that make their worlds run in tandem. The latest Royal Salute 21-Year-Old Harris Reed Edition is a living testament to their remarkable artistry.

A follow-up to the Richard Quinn collaboration, the Scotch whisky maker has teamed up with Harris Reed, known for his demi-couture and gender-bending pieces beloved by fashionistas and celebrities alike, where craftsmanship, elegance and creativity are encapsulated in a bottle. Through the magical touch of Harris Reed, the iconic feathered halo (remember the legendary Iman in Dolce & Gabbana x Harris Reed Met Gala outfit?) is brought to life. Drawing inspiration from Reed’s archives and Royal Salute’s rich heritage, the signature Royal Salute flagon is now infused with a tinge of Reed’s extravagance. Decorated in neon-coloured halos of feathers, the collaboration comes in three striking colourways including Blue, Fuchsia and Gold.

Meticulously crafted by Royal Salute Master Blender Sandy Hyslop and Harris Reed at the Strathisla Distillery, the latest Royal Salute 21-Year-Old Harris Reed Edition is a palatable blend of Royal Salute’s hallmark style, elevated by new, striking notes. Alluding to Reed’s childhood memories and his British-American roots, the special edition whisky is matured in extra charred virgin oak barrels, which imparts notes of pear crumble, creamy vanilla fudge and toasted almonds. The rich, complex and spicy blend is further complemented with Sherry matured Braeval and American Oak matured Glenburgie, resulting in a beautifully balanced blend.

Royal Salute 21-Year-Old Harris Reed Edition in Blue is now available at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport for RM1,335. The editions in Fuchsia and Gold are now available in exclusive retail outlets starting from RM1,343 (West Malaysia; RM1,369 East Malaysia).
