Art and human expression have always gone hand-in-hand. That is an ethos that Louis Vuitton understands well. And as a Maison deeply connected with the world of artistry, Louis Vuitton continues its ‘White Canvas: LV Trainer in Residence’ programme to demonstrate its support of this expression.

This time, Louis Vuitton invites contemporary artists Zhou Yilun and Wen Na to treat its iconic white leather LV Trainer as a canvas for their artistic vision.

Zhou approaches his design the way a sculptor would, viewing his work through a lens that celebrates beauty in the unfinished. His creation reflects the organic nature of the artistic process: unrefined and raw. But even these exploratory moments can be deliberate.

Wen Na, on the other hand, takes a route inspired by mysticism. Here, the trainer is reimagined as an expression of movement. Borrowing influences from the likes of Chinese deities, Wen Na infuses waves and clouds — and a part of her artistry — into the piece.

Through this project, Louis Vuitton showcases that newness can always come from what already exists. And like the unending horizon, the possibilities of creation can also be an endless journey.
