You can always count on Bell & Ross to keep evolving sans losing its roots. The new BR-X5 features an instantly recognisable stainless steel case, which measures 41mm in diameter with a reasonable thickness of 12.8mm. The multilayer construction accentuates the captivating facets and cuts of the watch. Seemingly discreet from the front, the BR-X5 exudes a sense of venturesome when turned to the side, revealing a technical construction that optimises lightness without compromising on utility or water resistance. Moreover, the case is enhanced with different polished, satin-brushed and micro blasted finishes in order to further highlight the lines and surfaces of the design.

Not unlike the case, the dial is the result of shrewd design work, expressing a well-thought- out level of sophistication. The black version demonstrates unpretentious classiness with bright, sharp accents of red highlighting the look, while the ice blue version embodies the innate urban spirit of the BR 05 range. Taking cues from aeronautics, a date window influenced by analog flight instruments is featured at the 3 o’clock position and sits directly opposite it is a the power reserve indicator with an impressive three-day scale.

Powering BR-X5 is the incredible Calibre BR-CAL. 323, developed in partnership with mechanical manufacturer Kenissi, which provides approximately 72 hours of power reserve; beats a relatively quick frequency of 28,000 beats per hour; and equipped with a rapid date correction device that enables quick adjustment without any effect on timekeeping. “While aesthetic daring was the guiding principle throughout the creative stages of the BR-X5, when it came to timekeeping reliability and precision, the notion of risk was banished from our vocabulary,” Bruno Belamich, Bell & Ross creative director, explained.

At the recent BR-X5 launch event held at Level 57 of The Exchange 106, Bell & Ross brought the future to the now and allowed guests to experience its latest advanced time instrument.
